The Tungku Kurshiah College (TKC) is the first girl’s boarding school in Malaysia and awarded as the High Performance School. Formerly known as the Malay Girls College, it was established in 1947 in Kuala Lumpur. In April 1962, it was relocated to Bukit Merbah, Jalan Tunku Kurshiah, Seremban. It was named after the first Her Royal Highness and was officiated by Almarhum Tuanku Munawir Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman on 24th Mei 1963. In 2000, TKC was chosen to participate in the main application of Malaysia Smart School in Multimedia Corridor Highway. In 2007, TKC is given full autonomy to select its own student based on the UPSR result. TKC has been relocated to Enstek Education Complex in Enstek in 2013. The education has started since Form 1 until 5. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is formed for two years. The Apple Company has also recognised the school as the Apple Distinguished School for using iPad tablet in their learning.
